• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
• Profile information: academic background, grades/scores, interests, career goals, and other details you add to build your profile, which powers program matching and AI-generated suggestions.
• Service-related documents: transcripts, identity documents, passport details, financial documents, and other materials you upload for services such as application counseling, Olympiad/test prep registration, financial services (loan/forex), visa, or housing assistance.
• Payment information: billing details processed via our payment gateway partners (we do not store full card details on our own servers).
• Communications: information you provide when you contact support or submit a Lead via a CTA button.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages viewed, Programs browsed, CTA clicks, and time spent on the Platform.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand Platform usage (see Section 5).

We use your information to:

1. Create and manage your account and deliver the Services you request;
2. Match you with, and register you for, Programs across categories including Research Programs, Internships, Summer Programs, Competitions, Social Impact Programs, Online Courses, Skill-Building Courses, Test Prep, Olympiads, Financial Services, Visa, and Housing;
3. Generate AI-based recommendations for Programs and Services that may suit your profile, using automated processing of the information described in Section 1.1 (see Section 3 below);
4. Share your enquiry ("Lead") information with the relevant Partner when you use a CTA button, so the Partner can contact you directly;
5. Process payments and maintain records for accounting, tax, and legal compliance;
6. Communicate with you regarding your account, Leads, Programs, and Services, including via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or phone call;
7. Send you promotional or marketing communications, where you have not opted out;
8. Improve the Platform, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud or misuse;
9. Comply with applicable law, regulatory requests, or legal process.

As described in our Terms and Conditions, the Platform uses automated tools, including AI/machine learning, to suggest Programs based on your profile. This involves processing information such as your academic background, interests, and activity on the Platform. These suggestions are generated automatically and are not reviewed individually by a human before being shown to you. You may opt out of receiving AI-generated suggestions at any time by writing to support@profileleague.com; this will not affect your ability to browse and use other parts of the Platform.

We share your information with:

• Partners (Program providers, Olympiad-conducting bodies, test prep providers, universities, financial institutions/NBFCs/authorised dealers for loans and forex, accommodation providers, and visa processing partners) — to the extent necessary to register you for, or deliver, the Program or Service you have engaged, or when you submit a Lead via a CTA button.
• Service providers who help us operate the Platform, such as payment gateways, cloud hosting providers, customer support tools, and communication (SMS/email/WhatsApp) providers, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal and regulatory authorities, where required to comply with applicable law, a court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.
• A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply to your information.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

4.1 Financial Services Data

Where you use the Platform to connect with a Financial Partner for a loan or forex service, we share the information you provide (including KYC and financial documents) with that Financial Partner solely to enable them to process your application. The Financial Partner's own privacy policy will govern their subsequent handling of your information, and you are encouraged to review it before proceeding.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Platform is used, and personalise content and Program suggestions. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Platform features.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services, and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Documents shared with a Partner for a specific Program or Service are retained by us in line with this Section, independent of the Partner's own retention practices.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request erasure of your information, subject to our legal and legitimate business retention needs;
• withdraw consent for processing (such as AI-based suggestions or marketing communications) at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
• lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 12) if you believe your information has been misused.

The Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age for independent use. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the information submitted on your behalf. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate parental/guardian consent, we will take steps to delete it.

Because some Programs and Services (such as overseas courses, visa processing, and housing) involve institutions or providers located outside India, your information may be transferred to, and processed in, other countries as necessary to deliver those Programs and Services. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are consistent with applicable law.

The Platform may contain links to Partner websites or other third-party sites. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
